A place for the Truth

Proud to be from New Jersey?

without comments

Isn’t it great to be from New Jersy these days?

Mr. Obama has graced us with his presence THREE TIMES since July in order to make sure that Jon Corzine gets re-elected to the office of governor.  I mean, Sarah Palin never even stepped foot in NJ during last years election.  We must be pretty important despite being the butt of jokes (the armpit of the nation) for so many years.  Maybe our reputation is is turning arounjd…

Take a look at the big picture, though.

Why is little ole’ NJ so important to Mr. Obama?  For one thing it is ground zero for taxation.  If the people of NJ can tolerate the highest taxes and STILL RE-ELECT a guy who does nothing but make the situation worse, then certainly the whole nation will follow suit.  Topple NJ, topple the country.

Citizens are trying to send the two parties a message:  we don’t like the candidates that you are offering.  We have 12 gubernatorial candidates on the ballot!  What a dilemma!  This is no time to try to take a stand.  Go ahead and run your third parties, but on election day, the contest should really be between major party candidates.

New Jersey needs real help.  Obviously Jon Corzine can’t do it… he had the chance and only made it worse.  He is being sued by his own legislature, by the way.  How many people KNOW THAT?  What NJ needs is to get rid of corruption from bottom to top, top to bottom.  Only after that changes will we have the government and the state that the good people of New Jersey need.

Chris Christie with a proven record of prosecuting corruption, WHILE Corzine has been governor, is the only step in the right direction for New Jersey in 2009.  Would you really rather vote for Corzine because he isn’t …… fat?  I don’t think so.

Yesterday I attended a rally in Union, NJ attended by Steve Lonegan and Kim Guadagno.  You may recall that Steve is a former candidate for governor in the Republican primary and fully deserves recognition for his fiscal activism as a citizen for years.  He was very gracious in addressing the crowd and requested there be no write-in votes for him.  Steve is truly a hero.  One who stands up for what he believes, even to the point of being arrested by Jon Corzine while exercising his right to free speech!  The crowd gave him excessive applause which flipped his switch into campaign mode and he launched into a rousing speech about what mus happen in the next hours before the polls close on Tuesday night.

Then it was Kim’s turn.  She is running alongside Christie to be Lt. Governor.  What a thrill it was to meet this very beautiful and posed woman.  She is an excellent choice and herself has also been involved in law enforcement.  New Jersey needs ‘law enforcement’ and tax reduction and incentives for business to return and create jobs.

I am proud to be from New Jersey today because we have the opportunity to elect a new Governor and our first Lt. Governor.  We have the opportunity to stand up and be counted in the movement growing throughout the country which values individual responsibility over forcing individuals into servitude to the state.  Yes, this election is about Mr. Obama and Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid.  We in New Jersey can tell the nation on Tuesday that there is a better way and we are choosing to go on that route.  We are choosing to go in a different direction because we know that the road being taken by  Corzine-Obama-Pelosi-Reid is that same road we have followed and it leads only to demise.

A vote for Christie/Guadagno on Tuesday is a vote for the future of New Jersey.

The President from Acorn

without comments

soviet poster 1

I don’t think all the President’s men know what has hit them yet.  They seem to be stunned.  The expose of Acorn currently being unveiled has met with very little comment from the Whitehouse.  Certainly Congress has responded, with the Senate vote for example.  Schwarzeneger has called for an investigation by the CA state attorney general.  Republican Congressmen have called for investigations and have hit hard.   But what have we heard from Mr. Obama?

Well this is a tough one.

I’ve heard some commentators say that Mr. Obama didn’t work for ACORN when he was a community organizer, BUT, guess what…… remember he was a TRAINER!!!!!

I was rereading an article by Stanley Kurtz in which he covers much of Mr. Obama’s history and associations with ACORN… from a year ago.  Why didn’t people listen to him then?    You MUST take the time to read and digest what he says.  Remember ….the ACORN doesn’t fall far from the tree.  It is from this article that I have taken the title for this piece, which was in turn an extension of the phrase “senator from ACORN”.

Inside Obama’s Acorn by Stanley Kurtz National Review Online  May 29, 2008

I think it is VERY interesting to reconsider this article AFTER the events of the past few months, including the Tea Parties, the Town Halls and now the revelations about ACORN.  The information presented about Obama and ACORN was done with the intent of painting the portrait of a man who SHOULD NOT BE a President of the United States because of the associations he had and type of work he did in the past.  ACORN is a radical ’socialistic’ group and Americans do not want a ‘radical socialist’ for their president.  Not enough people connected the dots.  They didn’t draw the lines between the numbers 1,2,3,4,5…..  Now it is time to try again…. this time we’ll start in  a different place…. maybe with 6 and go on to 7,8,9,10,11…. and then end up connecting 1 through 5.  The picture WILL BE THE SAME, no matter which number you start with.  But we are now will be looking first at ACORN to see that, yes, it is definitely corrupt.  Even Jon Stewart recognizes this and is jealous of O’Keefe and Giles who did the expose before he thought of it!  OK, Jon, if you believe everything Bertha Lewis says without question, then maybe you will miss something.  I think that is the sign of a good reporter…. check out the details.  Which ones did you check on ACORN???  Oh, yes, and Oliver comes up short on this one, too.

So ACORN is corrupt.  Why were those ACORN workers so willing to help this couple get around the laws even before establishing a relationship with them?  They could have been anybody.  They could have been real criminals.  Honestly, I think these workers are just stupid.  Real players would have seen through this and not trusted this couple.    The real issue is that these people were willing to help others break the law, in fact instructed them in how to do so.  They didn’t even hesitate but actively sought ’solutions’ to their problems.  This begs the question:  WHAT KIND OF NEIGHBORHOODS ARE THESE ACORN OFFICES TRYING TO CREATE??????

The most important point of this is that Barack Obama worked as a trainer for ACORN at least up until he became a US Senator.  I am not going to say that he trained THESE workers to help others break the law and promote criminal activity.   I don’t know what kind of training he did for ACORN in recent years.  But I DO KNOW that he associated himself with a corrupt organization, almost certainly overlooking its illegal activities for the sake of its higher purpose, which is to create a new society.

This should become a ‘what did he know when’ type of investigation, which of course will involve a myriad of others.   The truth will come out.  But for the time being the Whitehouse is trying to see how much they can get away with.  Maybe if the Congress can take care of it, Obama won’t have to admit anything.  And of course, now no one can call Obama a liar, in the Chamber.   The office must be revered.   Valerie Jarrett is somewhere in the mix, if not everywhere in the mix.

There is something I am somewhat pleased about today:  I had feared that we would be changing our name to the United States of ACORN during this administration, however, I now feel safe to say that this is not going to happen!

Let me just mention in closing that I was PARTICULARLY interested to read about the ‘techniques’ Obama used to get his way while serving as a community organizer.  Seems ‘intimidation’ was the key.  Controlling anger was important.  Maybe this is what Obama has against the Tea Parties, etc., they need to focus more on intimidation than venting.  Just a thought.

Why didn’t Conservatives just carry out the coup?

without comments

It is September 12, 2009.  Obama LEFT Washington when he heard the Conservatives were coming to town….. 100,000 possibly up to a million of them. If this were any OTHER country, it would have been a coup d’etat!

Obama had a crowd of 13,000 and Biden, too, left D.C. to participate in a memorial service in L.A.

Healthcare reform is dead.  Obamamerica is dead.  The only people who still ’support’ the President’s policies are those whose eyes are shut tight, hands are over their ears and are screaming the liberal mantras like a broken record, in other words, there is no connection between cognitive activity and lips.

Van Jones ‘Resigns’?

without comments

Van Jones, aka Green Jobs Czar, has resigned his position with the Obama Administratioln after what he terms a “vicious smear campaign against me.”

Notice that Gibb’s comment about Jones on Friday was to the effect:  “He’s still working for us.”  Nothing more.  The administration was described as being “tight-lipped” about the situation.

This is really interesting because there was virtually nothing in the mainstream press even about this issue.  It was all underground in the realm of the conspiracy theorists, really, or the right-wing blogosphere.  Why did anyone pay attention to his ‘alleged’ 9-11 Truther association?

The TRUTH is that the only smearing done was to publicize to the American people the actual statements of a man who is serving as an unaccountable advisor to Mr. Obama.  In other words, HE smeared HIMSELF.  The administration just hoped that we wouldn’t notice that he called himself a Communist, or his derogatory comments about Republicans, or his statements about ‘changing the system’.  But we did.  And AT THIS POINT in the history of the Obama “presidency” he has become a sacrificial lamb to the “greater cause of universal healthcare “, the most important value at this point is to retain control at any cost.

The video made public about Van Jones statements was produced by a self-employed mom in California, not some huge Republican strategist or so-called right-wing radio program.  The story of the Obama Administration is being revealed one word at a time by the ordinary citizens of this country who care enough to question what is going on.

Soviet propaganda poster art is a pattern for NEA’s contribution to socialist transformation of the USA

 kulak

“Do not trust him! The kulak is the most hardened enemy of socialism”

Now what is a Kulak?

The word kulak originally referred to independent farmers in the Russian Empire who emerged as a result of the Stolypin reform which began in 1906. The Stolypin reform created a new class of landowners who were allowed to acquire for credit a plot of land from the large estate owners, and the credit (a kind of mortgage loan) was to be repaid from farm work. In 1912, 16% of peasants (up from 11% in 1903) had relatively large endowments of over 8 acres (3.2 hectares) per male family member (a threshold used in statistics to distinguish between middle-class and prosperous farmers, i.e., kulaks). At that time an average farmer’s family had 6 to 10 children. (wikipedia)

According to Marxism-Leninism, the kulaks were a class enemy of the poorer peasants. From this theory’s point of view, poor peasants and farm laborers had to be liberated by the revolution alongside the proletariat (the urban workers). In addition, the planned economy required the collectivization of farms and land to allow industrialization of large-scale agricultural production. The “state of workers and farmers” desired to remove the kulaks as a class and presented them with the option of integrating into the new classless system with equal rights. As Soviet propaganda put it, many kulaks resisted these changes and organized subversive activities against the new collectives with the help of former tsarist military. Many peasants and communists were killed, fields were burned, and many machine tractor stations were destroyed. This often caused pronounced hunger and created large problems in agriculture and the economy of the Soviet Union. The view of many kulaks was different, as told by Mikhail Gorbachev whose family were “kulaks.” The kulaks stated they had suffered from political repression under the rule of Joseph Stalin in the 1930s.

I have not had time to research this thoroughly yet, but I became interested in understanding how the soviets made use of art in their propaganda because the NEA is being used by our current government to ‘encourage’ artists to promote current ‘issues’ through their art.  Think of it:  our top American artists are being recruited to create political advertising for a new era coming to this country.

The kulaks sound like enterprising families that believed in individual ownership and did NOT BELIEVE IN SPREADING THE WEALTH AROUND.  Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin knew exactly what was going on.  Some people call spades, “spades”, other people call them “hearts”.  In other words, some people lie and others get right to the heart of the matter.  Everything we are seeing actually happening before our VERY EYES in 2009 are all the ’scary’ things that the ‘racist Obama-haters’ predicted before the election.  Maybe they were really prophets, or at least know their history.

I started looking up some vintage  soviet posters and observing the symbols and learning about key artists.  Fascinating, but, my time is severely limited at the moment and I won’t be able to get back to this for a few days.

I will pass on to you links to the pages I have found at first glance.

Ted Kennedy not a Martyr

without comments

We can be thankful that Ted Kennedy was not a martyr like his brothers.  They became larger than life after death because of the way they died.  Martyrs become legends.  Their stories exceed reality.

The plain facts concerning Ted Kennedy are that he was born to privilege, lived in privilege, lived above the law and still managed to be elected as a representative of the common man.  His brothers were murdered, he was not.  He died taking advantage of the best the American medical system had to offer in terms of cancer treatment.  I wonder, did Medicare pay for it?  Were his doctors reimbursed at Medicare rates?  I doubt it.  Would a man just like Teddy, but without the name, be able to receive the same care Teddy did to fight brain cancer at his age under the healthcare proposals he championed?  Isn’t this a little like the phrase, “Let them eat cake?”  Misunderstanding the plight of the common man while claiming to advocate for him.

Members of  Congress should honor Teddy as they would the passing of ANY colleague, but he should not be immortalized.  It is inappropriate for Obama as President to be giving a eulogy.  We all know what is going on, or at least those of us who are paying attention.  How convenient that Obama should be staying on Martha’s vineyard when Teddy dies.  What a convenient symbolism of  ’passing the mantle’.  Let’s not be fooled by this charade.  Camelot is gone, Obama is not a new King Arthur nor his wife, Guinevere.  Not by a long shot.  Wake up from the dream America.  This is not Camelot.  We should not memorialize Teddy’s life by moving toward a single-payer healthcare system in this country.  Let his life stand on its own.  I have already summarized it in the second paragraph (notice I didn’t mention the ’demons’, as though they are something outside of himself over which he has no responsibility).  Actually, now that he IS gone, maybe we will actually be free to come up with a genuinely ’American’ free market solution to the rising cost of healthcare.

Dreams of Fairness, Dreams of Tyranny

without comments

Free people can treat each other justly, but they can’t make life fair. To get rid of the unfairness among individuals, you have to exercise power over them. The more fairness you want, the more power you need. Thus, all dreams of fairness become dreams of tyranny in the end.

Support John Mackay: Patronize Whole Foods!

without comments

When I think of Whole Foods, I think of liberals, socialized medicine, global warming, greenies.  But the CEO, John Mackay, had an article published in the Wall Street Journal with execellent suggestions for alternatives to socialized health care.  In fact, he discussed what his company is doing on the insurance front.

All of those liberals, aging hippie types and other greenies, who patronize Whole Foods on a regular basis are experiencing a rude awakening:  the CEO of this great grocery chain does not believe in socialized healthcare.  So what to do?  BOYCOTT!

What should the tea partiers do to support Mackay?  You guessed it!  Head to Whole Foods and show John Mackay your appreciation.  Jam the stores!  Empty the shelves!  Let John Mackay know in no uncertain terms that  his company is a shining example of exactly the way the majority of Americans would like to see healthcare run in this great country.  It is corporate America doing the right thing.

I’ll admit that I generally can’t afford to buy my groceries at Whole Foods regularly, however, I myself would change my purchasing habits to buy from that company.  It is closer to me than Trader Joes after all.  I would also be better off  ’eating out’ at Whole Foods than many other places where I do eat, such as Wendy’s, McDonalds and Burger King.  I would really be just find eating HALF the quantity of food and spending the same amount of money buying it at Whole Foods!

What else is the President Lying About?

without comments

According to John Boehner this morning,

President Obama made four claims Tuesday that don’t pass the straight-face test.

• First, he said, “Under the reform we’re proposing, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,” and “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.” USA TODAY’s assessment of this statement: “Not necessarily.” And the Associated Press and ABC News have proved this claim false, noting that White House officials have acknowledged the president’s rhetoric shouldn’t be taken “literally.” That’s because the White House cannot guarantee that Americans will be able to keep their health plan. They simply don’t know how many employers will drop their coverage altogether if their plan goes into effect. Experts at the Lewin Group estimate the number could be more than 100 million Americans.

• Second, the president said, “I look at the federal budget and realize that if we don’t control costs on health care, there is no way for us to close the budget deficit — it will just keep on skyrocketing.” Yet according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, the House Democrats’ bill would raise costs and the deficit by $239 billion over 10 years.

• Third, the president said, “We’re not talking about cutting Medicare benefits.” But one of the reasons seniors are so alarmed is that the plan would cut Medicare to the tune of $361.9 billion over 10 years. That means fewer choices and lower quality care — exactly what then-Sen. Obama blasted during his campaign.

• Finally, the president claimed the plan will not lead to rationing. But the bill, on page 30, section 123, would create a “Health Benefits Advisory Committee” that would make determinations about what kinds of treatments, items and services can be covered within certain benefit classes, and what kind of cost sharing will occur.

Is this the first time Mr. Obama has made these statements?  No.  Neither will this be the last time.  If he lies, or ‘misrepresents’ information to the American people that they can EASILY verify, HOW CAN WE TRUST HIM ON ANYTHING?

He keeps on telling us lies because most of the people in the country, led by our ‘free’ press, believe every cotton pickin’ thing he says.

U.S. Healthcare: Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken

without comments

I decided to do a little, very little, research on cancer survival rates in the US vs. the rest of the world.

GUESS WHAT?

Yes, that’s right, we have the lowest mortality rates in the world.  We may have the highest INCIDENCE of breast cancer,  BUT WE have the lowest MORTALITY RATE from breast cancer in the world.

Now what exactly does that say about US healthcare?

More women are treated and cured of breast cancer in the US than anywhere else in the world.

Now tell me what you think about this:  India and China have lower incidence of the disease, but wouldn’t that number be affected by the degree to which a population is screened for the disease to begin with?  The incidence numbers in those countries are very low AND the mortality rate is much higher by comparison.  We cannot necessarily assume that breast cancer is less common in those countries, but we can fairly safely assume that percentagewise far more women are screened on a yearly basis in the US than elsewhere.

The UK’s national screening program provides women between the ages of 50 and 70 with a ‘free’ mammogram every THREE years.  Statistically, the highest rate of incidence is found between the ages of 50 and 70, hence the emphasis there.  If ‘regular’ screening is done in the UK in a smaller age range than in the US and also less frequently, isn’t it more likely that breast cancer will be discovered at early treatable stages in the US?

So my question is, why would we want to change the system so that we have LESS frequent screening?  The US IS the best in the world for breast cancer.  We ARE getting what we pay for.  Saying anything else is a lie.

I have heard it said that we pay more money than any other country inthe world for our healthcare but we aren’t any healthier.    That sounds very catchy, but is it really true, and more importantly, will changing the way we handle health INSURANCE do anything to fix that problem?

Will giving everyone ‘free’ medical insurance result in a healthier nation?

Are you kidding me?

Here are the things that are required for good health:  proper diet, exercise, stress reduction, vitamins, regular checkups, moderate to NO alcohol, no drugs, no smoking.

Which of those require medical insurance?  Just the physicals.   To help our country become more healthy, we should compare American eating and exercise habits with those in countries where people are ‘healthier’ and see where we are going wrong.  Much illness is caused by being overweight and stressed.  What is needed is lifestyle change and that has nothing to do with medical insurance, except that NOW medical insurance benefits are starting to include paying for health club memberships!
